Seriously....is the blog dead or what?

College Basketball is back and the Kid is a happy man (or boy as the case may be)!!!!

Wow!! I cannot believe that nobody has had anything to say for the last 2 months. Well, now that I am almost officially on vacation for a week and half, I suppose I will put my thoughts down on this blog.

Right now, this is the only thing that I am thinking. Thank God college basketball is finally back. It is the best sport to watch (with the second best being college football followed closely by pro football). Although I have yet to make an effort to attend a game this year, I am excited about this year's Duke team. The highly touted recruited class adding depth that hasn't been here for awhile. Let's hope that the team isn't dead tired come March, so that they have a chance at making a run at the title. Much like the past 3-4 years, there really is not a team that is above and beyond every other team, so it will make for a fun college basketball season.

I will conclude by saying this, if I can end my Ph.D. with bookended National Championships, it will be a sweet deal...then I will get to Carolina when they are about to make a run and have to switch who I root for once again....ahhhhhh, who am I kidding? I suppose this place has left a mark on me that I will not be able to get off no matter how hard I scrub (kind of like that hooker I met in Puerto Rico, but that is a story for another time!) I will never be able to root for Carolina, not after the 5 years and soon to be 6th year of basketball that I have witnessed here. So, let's hope for an good year of hoops, which will lead to a great month of March....the greatest month in the year!!
